Indiana's 21st Century Scholars is a needs and performance-based program that provides students the opportunity to earn up to a four-year scholarship at an Indiana college or university.

African-American Male Leadership Group

Sponsor: Trent Chambliss

All male, African-American group organized to improve cultural awareness and excellence, graduation rates, and success after high school for its members. Students will attend an annual African-American Leadership Conference and the state conference in Indianapolis, sponsored by local groups and businesses.

Meets: Daily during Homeroom/Advisory

Girlfriends

Sponsor: Jennifer McGhee

This group seeks to foster leadership skills among female students of color. Each month guest speakers are invited to lead discussions on relevant topics.

Meets: Twice a month on Wednesdays during Homeroom/Advisory

National Honor Society

Sponsor: Kelly Johnson

National Honor Society (NHS) is a selective, honorary society that recognizes students who reflect outstanding accomplishments in the areas of scholarship, character, leadership, and service. Students are inducted into NHS during the annual Academic Recognition Dinner in March. Open to Juniors and Seniors with a cumulative 3.0 GPA who have participated in extracurricular activities both in school and activities outside of school, such as scouting, church groups, volunteer service for the disadvantaged, etc.
