Robotics
Robotics Team

What is Robotics? It is a varsity sport for the mind!

2014 First Robotics Competition (FRC) Team has formed at Washington High School and the ” Pandroids” are hard at work building this year’s competition robot. FRC combines the excitement of a sport with the spirit of science and technology. Under strict rules, limited resources, and time limits a team of students start the journey to build a task specific robot. The team is challenged to raise funds, design a team “brand” to market, learn teamwork skills, and build/program a robot to perform prescribed tasks against a field of competitors. It’s as close to “real- world engineering” as a student can get. Volunteer mentors from engineering, leadership, and all walks of life lend their time and talents to guide students on their journey of discovery.
